This program is a synthesis of Bach's great oeuvre. With recitatives, arias and instrumental work, composed according to the liturgical calendar with an event from the life of the Messiah in mind. With our MessArias program we make a reconstruction of Jesus' life, without changing the libretti of the works. Divided into 6 mini-cantatas|events that are alternated with poetry and Bible quotes to give the whole strength.

The instrumentation of FLB-C is small in this program,

2 singers (Alto, Bass) and 7 instrumentalists alternated with words. This allows us to keep room for expression. The program is presented in a fresh, pure way.

In this way, MessArias can provide a light intermezzo between Bach's heavy passion program and become a permanent value within the passion period.
